Extended Hours

The Surgery offers extended hours every Monday (except Bank Holidays) between 6.30pm and 8.30pm.

Pre-bookable appointments are available during this time and bookings can be made in advance online, over the telephone or at the surgery. Please note during our late surgery we do not have a phone line (the phone is transferred to the out of hours service) and the surgery is not open for routine matters i.e. collection of prescriptions.

Should you need to cancel your late appointment on the day, after 6.00pm, this can only be done online.

Consulting Times

We run a late surgery on Monday evenings from 18.30 to 20.30, by appointment only, with two duty doctors.

Pre-bookable appointments will be available during this time. These appointments can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance & bookings can be made online, over the telephone or at the surgery. Please note during this time we do not have a phone line (the phone will be through to the out of hours service) and the surgery is not be open for routine matters i.e. collection of prescriptions.

Should you need to cancel your late appointment on the day, after 6.30pm, this can only be done online.

When We Are Closed

If you require a doctor after 6.00pm during the week, on Saturdays and Sundays or Bank Holidays please ring the out of hours number (01422 825341). Your call will be answered by NHS Direct and a trained nurse will discuss your problem initially. Duty doctors from Care UK will be available to offer advice or if necessary to arrange an appointment at the Care UK Treatment Centre at the local hospital. If you are not well enough to travel you will be visited at home.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Please note chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

Accident and Emergency

We have only limited facilities at the surgery and patients should attend A+E at the Calderdale Royal Hospital for minor injuries less than one day old.

We have no X-Ray facilities so suspected broken limbs and head injuries will usually be directed to A+E.

Minor illness, however, is best managed in the community. Please use NHS Direct, your pharmacist or us for advice.
