Dr Roger W Pool (m)Dr Roger W Pool (m)
MB MRCP MRCGP Leeds 1976. Dr Pool has been in practice in Ripponden since 1984 and has been a GP trainer since 1992. Having qualified in 1976 Dr Pool was a registrar in paediatrics in Liverpool and a GP trainee in Ambleside, Cumbria.

Dr Pool is a Programme Directors for the Pennine Vocational Training Scheme and an appraiser for NHS Calderdale.

BSc MB BS DCH DRCOG MRCGP London 1985. Dr Wyatt joined Brig Royd in 1990 after undergraduate training in London and completing training in North Yorkshire.

MB BS MRCGP Newcastle 1987. Dr Pickles joined the Practice in 1993 after qualifying at Newcastle University and completing training in Calderdale.

Dr Pickles is interested in Women’s Health and Family Planning, having previously worked in the local family planning department. Her interests within the practice include personnel and staff issues.

MB ChB DCH MRCGP DOccMed Manchester 1985. Following NHS house jobs Dr Littlewood undertook a short service commission in the Royal Army Medical Corps. On leaving the army he completed his GP vocational training in Darlington, before joining the practice in 1993.

Within the practice Dr Littlewood's interests involve computing/IT and prescribing issues.

MB ChB MRCP MRCGP Manchester 1985. Dr Knowles joined the practice in October 1999 as a part-time partner, having previously been in a practice in Meltham, Huddersfield.

Having qualified in 1985 Dr Knowles undertook a one-year medical SHO Post and then spent two years doing paediatrics prior to completing GP training in South Cleveland.

MB ChB BSc DRCOG MRCGP Leeds 1989. Dr Smith joined the practice in April 2010 as a part-time partner, having previously been a partner in a Bradford practice. There he was a GPwSI in diabetes and a part time Hospital Practitioner in Diabetes & Endocrinology. Dr Smith spent a year in New Zealand working as a GP and with the Ministry of Health developing a chronic disease management programme appropriate for Primary Care in the North Island. Dr Smith has been one of the Programme Directors of the Pennine GPST Training scheme since 2008. He has an interest in diabetes, endocrinology, chronic disease management, evidence based medicine, education and training.

MBChB DRCOG MRCGP Liverpool 1999. Dr Richardson joined the practice in April 2010 as a part time partner, having previously been a partner in Stainland. She qualified in 1999 from Liverpool and initially pursued a career in Obstetrics and gynae before joining the Huddersfield and Halifax GP training scheme. During her training Dr Richardson spent time at Brig Royd as a GP registrar on two occasions.

Dr Richardson also works as a hospice practitioner at Kirkwood Hospice in Huddersfield.

GP Registar. A GP registrar is a fully qualified doctor who is gaining experience in General Practice before looking for a practice of their own. Sara is with us until February 2012.
