|Dr Lisa J Pickles (f)|
MB BS MRCGP Newcastle 1987. Dr Pickles joined the Practice in 1993 after qualifying at Newcastle University and completing training in Calderdale. Dr Pickles is interested in Women’s Health and Family Planning, having previously worked in the local family planning department. Her interests within the practice include personnel and staff issues.
|Dr Matt Smith (m)|
MB ChB BSc DRCOG MRCGP Leeds 1989. Dr Smith joined the practice in April 2010 as a part-time partner, having previously been a partner in a Bradford practice. There he was a GPwSI in diabetes and a part time Hospital Practitioner in Diabetes & Endocrinology. Dr Smith spent a year in New Zealand working as a GP and with the Ministry of Health developing a chronic disease management programme appropriate for Primary Care in the North Island. Dr Smith has been one of the Programme Directors of the Pennine GPST Training scheme since 2008. He has an interest in diabetes, endocrinology, chronic disease management, evidence based medicine, education and training.

MBChB DRCOG MRCGP Liverpool 1999. Dr Richardson joined the practice in April 2010 as a part time partner, having previously been a partner in Stainland. She qualified in 1999 from Liverpool and initially pursued a career in Obstetrics and gynae before joining the Huddersfield and Halifax GP training scheme. During her training Dr Richardson spent time at Brig Royd as a GP registrar on two occasions. Dr Richardson also works as a hospice practitioner at Kirkwood Hospice in Huddersfield.
|Dr Fareed Bhatti (m)|
MBBS, MRCGP, DRCOG, DFFP 2001. Dr Fareed Bhatti qualified in 2001 and trained as a GP in Calderdale and Huddersfield. He has been working in Bradford and joined the Brig Royd team in July 2013. He has a special interest in diabetes and chronic disease management. He is also a GP Trainer on the Pennine GP training scheme.

Dr Jessica Roylance qualified in 2009 from Leeds. Prior to her medical training she also completed a degree in applied mathematics. She joined Brig Royd after spending time at the Practice during her GP training. Her interests include women's and sexual health. She is hoping to become a GP trainer over the next few years.

Dr Bhatti qualified from Manchester University in 2002 and undertook her hospital training in Sheffield and Bradford, gaining a variety of post graduate qualifications. She had enjoyed her GP placements, so decided to train as a GP. After completing her GP training she has worked in practices in Bradford and Halifax. Her special interests within General Practice are Diabetes and Women's Health.

I studied Medicine at the University of Leeds and in my early years worked in Respiratory Medicine, Gastrointestinal surgery, Urology and Psychiatry. I joined the Airedale GP training scheme in 2007 during which I worked in Bingley and Ilkley. I then joined a training practice in Bradford as a salaried GP for a number of years where I gained valuable experience. My interests include dermatology, Musculoskeletal medicine, prescribing and nutrition.
Away from work I am married and have a young son who takes up most of my spare time. I enjoy running, watching movies, like eating out, and love travelling as much as I possibly can!

Dr Rebecca Sykes qualified from Manchester University in 2012. She then worked in Barrow-in-Furness and Lancaster hospital before completing her GP training in Calderdale. She joined Brig Royd Surgery as ST3 Registrar in 2016 and was appointed Salaried GP in 2017. Becky joined us as GP partner on 1st August 2018.
