For more information, including how to download the NHS App, please visit www.nhs.uk/nhsapp.

The NHS App offers a quick, safe, and convenient way to access a wide range of NHS services and information from your smartphone or tablet. Millions of people already use it to manage their health easily from the comfort of home.

If you’re aged 16 or over, the NHS App allows you to view your GP health record, giving you better insight into your condition without needing to call your GP surgery. You can see your consultation notes, letters, and test results directly in the App.

You can also use the NHS App to order repeat prescriptions and update your nominated pharmacy, making it easy to request medication whenever it suits you. Each electronic prescription saves GP practices around three minutes and patients about 18 minutes—helping people save time while freeing up NHS staff for other important tasks.

The App also provides easy access to your appointment details and lets you manage your hospital appointments. You can quickly find your NHS number and use NHS 111 online for instant advice or to get medical help nearby.

New features continue to be added to the NHS App, making it even easier for patients to access high-quality care whenever and wherever they need it.

This service is a reliable and secure way to get information that you might usually get through text messages or letters.

Messages are:
– sent directly to you using your NHS number (instead of phone number or address), which means it is a more reliable way to reach you if your contact information is out of date at your GP surgery
– always from verified senders, such as your GP surgery and healthcare providers
– kept secure by the same technology that keeps your other information safe in the app
