COVID VACCINATION CERTIFICATION

We are unable to issue vaccination certificates at the practice.

Please see https://www.gov.uk/guidance/demonstrating-your-covid-19-vaccination-status-when-travelling-abroad  for further information.

Proof of your vaccination status is available on the NHSapp, The NHSapp can be downloaded from:

Alternatively you can call the NHS helpline on 119 and ask for a letter to be posted to you. This must be at least 5 days after you’ve completed your course of the vaccine, the letter may to take up to 5 days to reach you.

TRAVEL VACCINATIONS

You will need to complete and return our travel assessment form as soon as possible for the Practice Nurse to review if and what vaccinations are needed. If needed an appointment will follow. It is preferable that you obtain any vaccinations at least 6-8 weeks before departure.  They will need to know which countries and areas within countries you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

Not all travel vaccinations are available on the NHS. Please see the following link for full information:

PLEASE ALSO SEE OUR CLINICS AND SERVICES PAGE – NON-NHS SERVICES AND TRAVEL – FOR A FULL NHS STATEMENT ON TRAVEL VACCINATIONS

Further information regarding recommended vaccinations is available via the links below.

Europe Europe & Russia North America
 Central America South America
 Caribbean Africa
 Middle East Central Asia
 East Asia Australasia and Pacific

It is important to make this initial appointment as early as possible  – at least 6 weeks before you travel – as a second appointment will be required with the Practice Nurse to actually receive the vaccinations.  Your second appointment needs to be at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to be effective.

Most travel vaccinations are not included in the services provided by the NHS and therefore a charge will be made for your vaccinations. The Practice Nurse will advise you of the charges which are payable in advance, by cheque or cash.
