Welcome to Brig Royd Surgery
PLEASE SEE LATEST NEWS FOR OUR CURRENT POSITION AND ADVICE REGARDING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC. WE ARE NOT PROVIDING "BUSINESS AS USUAL". THE SURGERY BUILDING IS CLOSED EXCEPT FOR A LIMITED NUMBER OF PRE-BOOKED APPOINTMENTS WITH MEMBERS OF THE NURSING TEAM, AND FOR URGENT CONSULTATIONS WITH GPs, BY REQUEST OF THE GP FOLLOWING A TELEPHONE CONSULTATION.
Patients attending for nurse team appointments must wait outside the front doors, keeping at least 2 metres apart. Ring the practice on 01422 822209 when you arrive to "check in" for your appointment. The reception team will advise the nurse/HCA you are here and the nurse/HCA will come and let you in.
Patients invited to attend to see a GP should drive to the far end of the car park from the main road and wait in their car, following the instructions given by the GP and by text. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING AT THIS REALLY DIFFICULT TIME FOR PATIENTS AND FOR THE NHS. WE ASSURE YOU OF OUR COMMITMENT TO YOUR CARE. PLEASE BE KIND TO OUR STAFF WHO ARE WORKING UNDER PRESSURE AND DOING THEIR VERY BEST FOR YOU. PLEASE DO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND YOUR FAMILIES.
The link below gives a message to our older patients and those with underlying health conditions and their families who are feeling vulnerable in these times from an A+E Consultant on behalf of the whole NHS.
The team at Brig Royd has been providing high quality care for patients in the Ripponden and surrounding area for many years. In 2009 we moved to a large purpose built surgery in the centre of Ripponden which allows us to offer a wide range of services to our patients.
The practice GPs have a wide range of specialist clinical interests. We have three male Doctors – Drs. Bhatti, Hussain and Hanif and five female Doctors, Drs Pickles, Richardson, Dr Freeda Bhatti, Drs Gayle and Sykes.
Appointments can be made by calling at the surgery, telephoning 01422 822209 between 8.00am & 6.30pm weekdays, or booking on-line.
The surgery premises have suitable access for disabled patients. We are situated some 200 metres from the village centre. We have a portable induction loop to assist patients with a hearing-impairment.
Brig Royd is a training practice and you may be offered an appointment with a GP registrar or nurse. A GP registrar is a fully qualified doctor who is gaining experience in General Practice before looking for a practice of their own. Medical Students and Nurses sometimes train here as part of their extended role.
PARKING: Access is needed at all times for emergencies so please park in the designated patient parking spaces. We have two spaces marked out for the disabled. Please do not park on the double-yellow lines to ensure your safety and that of others.
On line services
We offer patients the opportunity to book appointments with the GPs and to order medication which has been authorised for repeat by the GP 24 hours a day, from the convenience of their own home. Simply register at reception for these services (please ensure you bring some photograph proof of ID) and use the links below once the receptionist has given you the log-in details.
